The Emil Award

This award was established by the Board of Directors on May 16, 2001 to honor a member of the Association who has made an unusually significant contribution to our community, without regard to recognition or recompense. It is to be presented at the annual meeting.

The award itself shall not be annual, but conferred in those years in which there is an outstanding candidate.

Officers of the Association shall not be eligible.

A nomination may be made by any member in good standing and shall be tendered in writing to the executive Committee by March 1 of any given year. Approval shall be at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

The award shall forever be called the Emil Award, in honor of its first recipient, Emil Freiwald, on June 20, 2001.
