Procedure
for Resident Entry
·
After signing on
to the web site, select the option ‘Neighborhood
Sortable and Modifiable’ and position to the line in which your residence
address is displayed. Initially all residences are sorted according to your Area which is noted at the top of the
screen. (The small red triangle above the Area
column indicates how the lines are sorted and can be moved to any other column
by clicking on that column.)
·
Click on the ‘Peo(ple)’ icon on your residence line to display currently associated
‘residents’ with your residence. To
change an already entered resident, position to that resident’s line and click the ‘pencil’ icon. Modify the desired fields on the
next screen and click the ‘Modify the Person’ button at the bottom of your
screen. To add a resident, locate the
small blue rectangle with the down arrow on the right side(‘Insert
New Resident’ appears when you drag your mouse over it) and click on it. (If
there is no small blue rectangle you are probably on someone else’s residence
line for which you are not authorized to add residents.)
·
Look
in the now displayed ‘Entered
Residents’ Directory which is alphabetized by Last
Name to ensure your person is not already in that Directory. If he or she is,
simply click on the ‘Add to Rdz’ icon on that person’s line. This will request you to fill
in the person’s ‘Position in the Family’(please select
and enter one of the displayed options) and the order in which you want that
person to appear in the Residence’s person list. Select the Associate Resident option to add your
person.
·
If
the person was not in the ‘Entered
Residents’ Directory, click on Add a New Resident. Fill in all the fields displayed, paying
particular attention to capitalizing the first letters of the Names, as above
selecting one of the ‘Position in Family’ options, entering the Birthday in the
specified format(YYYY-MM-DD) and in the last field noting whether the person is a Full
Time Resident of your residence. Select the Insert
New Resident option to add your person.
·
Repeat
the process until all the people you desire to associate with your residence
have been entered. If you make a mistake simply click the icon on that person’s
line with the pencil on it under the Action heading to modify that person’s
entry or click the X there to delete a resident you no longer
want associated with your residence. For
good examples of what these people look like associated with a particular
residence go to Tex Rankin’s @ 3817 Hollow Creek Drive in Area M or Tom
Kellogg’s @ 3725 Streamwood Road in Area O.
